Finally Something DIFFERENT – Fractal Era ITX Case Review

Image
After much waiting, we finally have something fresh and different from Fractal Design, the Era ITX enclosure. It’s unlike anything we have seen from them yet and a new ITX case on the market is always exciting. This is especially true coming from a company that tries to cater to both mainstream and enthusiast builds, which is what the Era ITX case is all about. I have spent the last two days working with this case, and it’s not exactly what I expected given the mission statement for this project. As you will see later on it still faces all the traditional challenges of any SFF enclosure. To start things off, there are five different colour options available. They are all pretty unique, with fully aluminium exteriors and tempered glass (TG) or wood panels options for the top. I have been patiently waiting for wood integrations on more PC cases, and it’s finally here with a metal base plate and careful construction so the wood doesn’t warp over time because of temperature fluctuati

Razer What Are You DOING! Basilisk Lineup Explained

Image
Today we are going to explore the weird and wide world of Razer’s many Basilisk mice. There are currently five models available and we are going to try and break down exactly why there are that many models and what’s the difference between them all. The Basilisk is my current favourite large body mouse and it’s even more comfortable to me than the iconic DeathAdder. It is kind of weird that I’m very comfortable playing with the tiny Cooler Master MM711 mouse and have a very similar play style and comfort with the much larger Basilisk Ultimate. For FPS games I still prefer the Viper lineup because of its fantastic shape and unique optical switches, but the Basilisk has more options to choose from. First of all, I want to address some of the early frustrations that emerged as I started doing research on why so many Basilisk mice exist. Even on the Razer’s site you can only find three models on the Basilisk lineup page, while the Essential and the original Basilisk are no longer

A CPU Cooler You NEED To Know About! Scythe Fuma 2 Review

Image
Well it looks like air coolers might be a regular and reoccurring theme for us from now on, if we find cool stuff obviously. But then again it didn’t really work out that well for the Corsair A500 that we checked out recently. The subject for today’s review actually comes from your suggestions, and it is none other than the Scythe Fuma 2 air cooler. I actually have to make sure that I don’t cut myself because this thing is ridiculously sharp, and I’m actually always very careful when holding this cooler because otherwise I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up with a lot of cuts.
